Dr. Jenniffer-Vera Atieno is a Chapter Delegate serving her second term. Dr. Atieno made her debut into the Chapter leadership in June 2018 when she was nominated as a chapter delegate due to her interest, active role and participation in chapter union activities. A firm believer in the principles of social justice and Labour democracy upon which UASU was founded, Dr. Atieno advocates for a strong and united membership since this is critical in determining the course, advancement and future of UASU. She is a seasoned grass-roots mobilizer who believes in the application of collective action and collective leadership to drive change and influence outcomes. Dr. Atieno is a distinguished Environmental Scientist, with expansive experience both in the academia and industry. She holds a Doctorate in Environmental Science with a bias in Waste Management.
